It was New Years Eve, it was stinking hot. The refreshing Sangria slide down our throats, one glass after another.

The real hero was the mixed veg that I grew and roasted. The sweetest of carrots, onions and leek, perfect roasted potato and garlic bringing it all together.
The simplest of culinary pleasures are often the most enjoyable.
